Begiin.com was founded in early 2009 and aims to showcase the very best the web has to have offer.

We have scoured the web and sifted through a countless number of sites (some good, some great, some bad and some shockers) to bring you the absolute cream of the crop. These sites have been chosen because they offer something more, something unique and something that sets them apart from the rest.

How did we choose the sites you might ask? We used a highly technical formula of doing a search for relevant terms and keywords for each category and then sifted through the results one by one. We also referred to websites such as Alexa.com, which ranks websites based on popularity. As well as this we also compared our lists with similar respected 'Top 10', 'Top 50' and 'Top 100' lists that were relevant to each of our categories, just to make sure we hadn't made too many glaring ommissions! (Please let us know if you think that we have)

The main things we look for when deciding which sites to include are ease of navigation, excellent content, how popular the site is, how relevant the site is, regularly updated content and features such as forums, RSS feeds and blogs etc. Obviously when creating a 'best of' list, not everybody will agree with who has made it in and who hasn't.
